About...

Janet Scott is the 'original mom' this site was created for. Janet, married to Ron Scott for over 60 years, resides in St. Louis and continues to successfully battle scammers to this day, haha.

The creator, Michael Scott (Mike... yes - love the Office!) Besides having a wonderful mother and father, I have 3 awesome grown boys and come from a very tight-knit family. Most of my family lives in St. Louis, while I have gathered no moss, travelling and living everywhere else - currently that is Orlando, FL. I've spent my career doing many things - working in accounting, technology, and project management. As a bit of an 'occupational nomad', I've worked almost everywhere... from Ernst & Young, our family CPA firm, Citi, Accenture, Capgemini, the U.S. Treasury, and a pre-IPO start-up company that marvelously tanked. I've also owned my own Espresso Bar and founded a 501c3. I thrive on new challenges that I know are going to hurt but will be rewarding. I'm the person to write your new standard operating procedure (SOP), not live by one.  I'm also a licensed CPA in Missouri, but not actively practicing. Feel free to reach out to me and let's connect.

I would love to hear feedback on this course and content. It's a work-in-progress, but I feel the scammer scammers is only going to get worse with artificial intelligence (AI) becoming so commonplace and inexpensive. The scammers will have better and better tools at their fingertips so it's important to share knowledge and our experiences. Sharing this important information will help us better protect our vulnerable family, friends, and community members.
